Whether you feel safer in the hospital or are unable to have a homebirth due to a higher-risk pregnancy or previous health condition, you can still be in-charge and empowered in your birthing space. You may be planning to have an induction, an epidural, a C-section, or planning to have a natural birth. Regardless of your birth plans, Monika's years of invaluable experience and individualized, caring, support can help prepare you.
Preparing mentally, emotionally, and physically is one of the most important steps you can take toward having the birth that you want. Just as you would train for a marathon, study for a final, or practice new skills, you can prepare yourself for the experience of having a baby.
Monika truly believes that we are born with the intuition needed to birth our children, but years of societal influence, silencing, and disconnection from our bodies have left many of us struggling to connect to our body and intuition. Practicing tuning into your body and connecting with your intuition helps you prepare mentally, emotionally and physically for having the birth you want.
With over 15 years of experience as a doula, birth assistant, and midwife (2019), Monika is passionate about providing individualized, caring, and connected mentorship for expecting families, and wants everyone to have the best possible pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.
During our visits, we can:
-Discuss upcoming tests (what they mean, options for them)
-
Develop a birth plan and help you protect it
-Create a postpartum plan to help you heal and ensure you are supported
-Prepare for labor and birth by discussing and practicing different laboring positions
You will have access to:
-A curated library of books to borrow on all kinds of topics related to pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
-Access to Monika through a private portal for messaging any questions between appointments.
-Periodic emails throughout your pregnancy and postpartum with helpful information.
Our goal is to come up with strategies and solutions to help you have a wonderful pregnancy, empowering birth, and healing postpartum.
Prenatal package: 10 visits (virtual or in office)-$800
Postpartum: 4 visits (in your home)- $400
Prenatal and postpartum package: $1000
You will also have the opportunity to add additional visits if desired or needed for a discounted rate.
*This is not for midwifery care and you must be in a primary providers care
